Your new role
As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at Dalux, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, including the conversion of classic VM infrastructure to cloud-native infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze our current setup, and create a plan for implementing a scalable setup for our production environment.
  2. Collaborate with existing teams already working with IaC in their area, and help streamline the solution.
  3. Ensure a secure and cost-conscious implementation, with support from our Security Guild.

Your background
We expect that you will have a solid foundation in computer science with hands-on experience in infrastructure management and experience with AWS.

Need to have skills:

  1. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Understanding and practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, using generic tools such as Terraform, CDK, or Pulumi to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
  2. Stakeholder Management: We have a lot of development teams with significant responsibility, so clean communication and knowledge on driving large cross-team projects are important.
  3. Conversion of Classic VM Infrastructure: Proven track record of converting classic VM infrastructure to cloud-native solutions. This experience demonstrates the ability to modernize and optimize existing systems for the cloud.

Nice to have skills:

  1. Computer Science Degree: While not a strict requirement, a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field would be a valuable asset.
  2. AWS Expertise: Hands-on experience with AWS and being proficient in setting up, configuring, and optimizing AWS services and resources.
  3. Containerization and Orchestration: Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes can enhance your ability to design scalable and resilient cloud-native systems.

Please note that the mentioned skills are important for the role, but we value your overall potential and willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
