You will become part of an ambitious team of 8 members based in Stockholm and Copenhagen. We take pride in collaborating cross border and being one team. As a Claims Student Worker, you’ll assist our claims handlers with a variety of claims, focusing primarily on Casualty claims such as General Liability, Product Liability, and Professional Indemnity cases.

This is more than just an administrative role—it's an opportunity to engage with complex legal issues and real case law. You will gain hands-on experience in interpreting legislation and applying legal principles to real claims scenarios. As you grow in the role, you’ll take on more responsibilities, gaining greater influence over the claims process and developing a deeper understanding of the insurance industry.

We do not expect you to have any experience within the insurance industry, we believe in developing our students and will teach you everything you need to know.

The Opportunity:

  • Handling Liability claims within general- and products liability, and Professional Indemnity, where you’ll apply legal principles and collaborate with legal counsel.
  • Handling first notifications of loss from insureds and assisting with initial claims assessments.
  • Engaging in discussions on insurance-related legal issues with Underwriters and other stakeholders, offering insights into how law shapes business decisions.
  • Coordinating administrative tasks such as documentation requests to claimants, insureds and brokers, sending documents to legal counsel, and files to suppliers.
  • Handling and registration of Multinational Claims including payments/deductible collections.
  • Preparing loss runs/claim stats for renewal meetings & client/broker meetings for our Underwriters.

Your qualities:

  • Studying at the second or third year of a relevant bachelor (e.g. HA Jur. from CBS or jura from University of Copenhagen).
  • An analytical mindset and a keen interest in legal matters.
  • A willingness to obtain new skills and especially a strong desire to develop your knowledge in legislation, case law, and legal frameworks within insurance.
  • Good command of English and preferable understanding of one Scandinavian language.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and affinity for IT systems and processes.
  • Adaptable in a sometimes fast-paced environment.
  • High degree of reliability and quick comprehension.

Working hours will be flexible, ranging from 10-15 hours a week and will be planned within normal office hours according to your schedule.
