As a Data Enablement Engineer in the Data Engineering team, you'll play a crucial role in building and evolving our streaming-first, self-service data platform, enabling software developers, data scientists, analysts, and product teams to efficiently address complex operational and analytical challenges. Your contributions will directly influence data-driven decision-making and product innovation across the organization.
Specifically, you will support internal teams' adoption of the platform, creating reusable patterns, documentation, and providing consultative support for complex use-cases. You should expect that the role will involve a lot of hands-on data engineering (co-engineering/peer programming) initially.

Key Responsibilities
- Initially, handle building the first set of stream/batch processing pipelines and reusable patterns to bootstrap self-service adoption.
- Develop documentation, templates, blueprints, examples, and reference implementations for analysts and developers.
- Conduct onboarding, training sessions, workshops, and ongoing enablement.
- Support software developers and analysts when they face complex scenarios or edge cases.
- Gradually shift from initial ownership to advisory/support as internal users gain maturity and autonomy.
Technical Experience
- Experience in building and optimizing streaming/batch pipelines (transformations, aggregations, joins, enrichments).
- Understanding of analytical data use-cases, real-time dashboards, or operational applications.
- Exposure to SQL and analytical tools (Databricks SQL, Snowflake, BigQuery, Looker, Tableau).
- Exposure to DBT.
- Experience producing technical documentation, user guides, tutorials.
- Strong ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely to varied audiences (analysts, engineers, managers).
Nice-to-Have
- Proactive, customer-centric mindset—actively identifying user needs and gaps.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate closely with internal users.
- Experience delivering training sessions, workshops, or technical presentations.
- Comfortable providing guidance and mentorship in complex situations.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or Developer Advocacy roles.
- Past experience in an enablement, consulting, or advisory position strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated track record of improving adoption and maturity of self-service data platforms.
