About your role
As the interim ESG reporting lead at GlobalConnect, you will work closely with top management and the sustainability team in Copenhagen, playing a key role in advancing our ESG reporting efforts and implementing CSRD reporting based on the DMA we have conducted. You will engage with teams across the Nordics, both virtually and in-person.

Your responsibilities will include the continued development and execution of our sustainability strategy and initiatives to fulfill our ESG reporting commitments, including regulatory and disclosure frameworks like CSRD, CDP and EU taxonomy. Besides, you will also be responsible for reporting on our SBTi progress and our progress in relation to our Sustainability Linked Loan (SLL) agreement.

Key areas of focus include:

  • Process Optimization: You will enhance our ESG reporting processes based on our data-gap analyses and improve documentation and data quality to meet external audit requirements.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure our ESG reporting aligns with the company’s objectives and external standards.
  • Data Management: You will collaborate with colleagues to collect and ensure the high quality and control of data, incl. collaboration with auditors.
  • Reporting: You will lead ESG reporting efforts, including reporting to SBTi and other relevant stakeholders, and be responsible for planning to ensure alignment with the CSRD, CSDDD, and EU Taxonomy Regulation.

The role is part of the CEO Office with a direct report to our Head of Sustainability.

To succeed in this role, we believe you have:

  • A relevant master’s degree, for example within Business, Sustainability, Economics, Auditing or Data Management and business proficiency in English and a Scandinavian language.
  • 3-7 years of experience with sustainability and ESG reporting.
  • Strong skills in systematic data work with high degree of attention to detail and project management.
  • Experience managing larger and complex projects involving stakeholders across large organizations.
  • Outgoing and enthusiastic personality, bringing a positive and ambitious mindset into our team and your work.

Here are some examples of key responsibilities during a typical day:

  • You will serve as a project leader on large projects, collaborating closely with the team to activate internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collect relevant ESG data from across the organization to compile into relevant reports and/or to respond to specific customer requests.
  • Communicate, collaborate, network, and manage different stakeholders in an international and complex organization, and build relationships with external stakeholders such as suppliers.
  • You work with the team to analyze our current situation within a relevant sustainability/ESG topic, and ideate with the business to scope, and prioritize initiatives that continue to push GlobalConnect in a sustainable direction.
