We are looking for a Site Manager at Hitachi Energy, Grid Integration business in Middelfart Denmark. The sites you will manage can be anywhere in Denmark.

In this position, you will lead all on-site activities of a project to assure cost-effective execution of project deliverables in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements during the start-up, construction and/or erection, commissioning and maintenance phases.

Your responsibilities

• Planning project on-site activities together with the Project Manager, including necessary resources, equipment and milestones.
• Coordinating agreement between customer and external resources on construction targets, health and safety requirements, site organization and policy.
• Responsible for the site, from receiving the assigned site area from the customer until handing over it back to the customer on completion day.
• Coordination of all on-site activities to ensure the successful execution of start-up, construction, erection, testing and commissioning activities.
• Serving as a project representative on site. Build and maintain effective relationships with customers and local stakeholders.
• Ensuring correct handling, storage and installation of equipment and material to avoid damages.
• Ensuring that detailed and up-to-date risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) are in place.
• Ensuring all on-site resources are properly trained and promoting health and safety considerations.
• Controlling project cost for the project site work, monitors actual spend against forecasts, and estimates final cost.
• Ensuring all documentation is modified and updated as necessary.
• Managing the sub-contractors on site to ensure that necessary quality and progress are achieved.
• Report regularly to the Project Manager on site activities, HSE (health, safety, environment), quality, progress, cost.

Requirements

• Bachelors in Electrical/Mechanical engineering, or equivalent skills.
• Few years' experience as Site Manager in construction and/or installation business.
• Good understanding of the transmission regulations and current HSE legislation.
• Proven leadership skills, with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
• Proactive and flexible personality.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in Danish and good communication skills in English.
• Bas P and bas U competence are considered as a benefit.
