Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark Podimo Full time

We are one of the fastest-growing podcast and audiobook platforms in Europe and we are now looking for a talented FP&A Analyst to join our finance team.

Come and join us on our journey to enrich lives through listening

This is the role

As an FP&A Analyst at Podimo, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the steering of the company towards its financial goals. You'll be responsible for providing insights that support decision-making, forecasting future financial outcomes, and developing strategies to ensure the financial health and growth of the company. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and is passionate about the impact of audio storytelling.

Your main responsibilities in this role:
  • Support the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with Podimo's strategic objectives.

  • Analyze current and past financial data and performance, identifying trends and recommending improvements accordingly.

  • Collaborate with the team on monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for senior management and our board - highlighting key financial and operational metrics.

  • Work closely with department heads of our Studio business unit to develop and monitor budgets, providing financial insights and guidance.

  • Conduct variance analysis, pinpointing discrepancies between actuals and forecasts, and implementing corrective actions as needed.

  • Continuously evaluate and enhance financial processes to improve efficiency and scalability.

  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Experience we're looking for:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in the digital media, content production, or with a consultant background.

  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with a proven track record of influencing business decisions through financial insights.

  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting, with a deep understanding of financial statements and performance indicators.

  • Have strong communication skills, being able to explain a complex situation in a concise and simple manner and enjoy cooperating with people at all levels of the organisation.

  • Experience working in a start-up environment and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of autonomy.

  • Experience translating complex questions into solid and clean models in Excel / G-Sheets, as well as generating broader audience conclusions in a clean looking, well thought out slide pack.

What We Offer
  • Parental Leave: Up to six months of fully paid parental leave for all new parents.
  • Equity Participation: All employees have the opportunity to benefit from company growth through our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
  • Supportive Culture: Unlimited child sick days, free online therapy sessions, and a collaborative, high-performing environment.
  • Flexibility & Well-being: Flexible hours and remote work options to support work-life balance.
  • Performance, Learning & Development: Access to resources to help you thrive and build your career within a high-growth, dynamic company.
This is the hiring process

First things first: we ask you to submit your CV or provide a link to your LinkedIn profile. Sharing your motivation for the job is highly appreciated, but not expected. If we pick your application to continue to the interview stage, this is how we plan to run the interview process:

  • A short phone or video screening
  • First interview with the hiring manager
  • Case session with the primary stakeholders

We might change it up to make sure it makes sense. Our main focus is to run an efficient and enjoyable interview process. We will conduct interviews on an ongoing basis and the preferred starting date isas soon as possible.
