Investment Manager – Luminar Ventures (Copenhagen)

Luminar Ventures is one of the most active pre-seed and seed investors in the Nordics. We are now looking for a highly motivated Investment Manager to join our Nordic investment team. This role will be based in Copenhagen and play a key role in leading our Danish deal flow. As an integral part of the team, you will contribute to identifying and supporting the next generation of innovative startups in Denmark and across the Nordics.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Source and evaluate potential investment opportunities, with a focus on the Danish market.
  2. Conduct due diligence on companies, including analyzing financials, market positioning, and competitive landscape.
  3. Build and maintain relationships with founders, investors, and other key stakeholders in the startup ecosystem.
  4. Represent Luminar Ventures at events, conferences, and community engagements in Denmark.
  5. Support the rest of the investment team also outside of Denmark.
  6. Support portfolio companies with strategic guidance and operational insights.
  7. Collaborate with the investment team to develop and execute investment strategies.

Who We're Looking For

At Luminar Ventures, we value diversity and welcome candidates from all backgrounds. For this role, we're especially looking for:

  1. An entrepreneurial background, ideally as a founder who has built a startup and raised venture capital. Having experienced the challenges and successes of startup life is core to Luminar's DNA.
  2. Alternatively, experience from venture capital investing with a strong track record in evaluating and supporting early-stage companies.
  3. A strong network within the Danish startup ecosystem or proven ability to build such networks.
  4. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen interest in technology and innovation.
  5. Excellent communication skills in both Danish and English (fluency required).
  6. A proactive, self-driven mindset with the ability to work independently, as well as valuing being part of a small, dynamic team in a collaborative environment with open communication.
  7. A passion for identifying and nurturing early-stage companies.
