Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced VMware Specialist to lead the migration of Standard Applications into a VMware Cluster as part of the transition to a new VCF (VMware Cloud Foundation) environment. The role involves managing VMware-centric migrations, capacity management, and cluster decommissioning to facilitate the hardware refresh process.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Write and implement scripts/automation for migrations and cleanup.
2. Execute production tests and support post-migration lessons learned.
3. Perform large-scale vMotions across compute and storage clusters.
4. Support capacity planning and hardware optimization for new VCF platforms.
5. Decommission existing PODs and assist in building new PODs for the VCF environment.

Required Skills and Experience :

1. VMware Certified Professional (VCP) in Datacenter is preferred.
2. Proven experience with large-scale VMware installations, including multi-site environments.
3. Familiarity with VMware Validated Design (VVD).
4. Expertise in scripting and automation for VMware environments.
