Enterprise Architect
Your role as part of the Business Engagement and Enterprise Architecture (BEEA) team is to ensure coherency between the business capabilities, processes, and the technologies in Milestone. As an Enterprise Architect, your goal is to ensure that IT is meeting business needs in line with the overall strategic direction of Milestone, to identify impact and have a coherent enterprise view that enables us to deliver business value.
Your main responsibility is to engage with the business and facilitate the process of clarifying the need for new or improved IT capabilities. This includes:
- Analyzing technology and business impact through Enterprise Architecture Impact Assessments and evaluating technology choices during RFPs.
- Partnering with business stakeholders and diverse teams to identify needs and guide the delivery of cost-effective and high-performing technology capabilities.
- Developing, guiding, and governing standards, principles, and best practices to achieve organizational performance. This also involves creating target architectures, guiding and governing changes to the enterprise architecture, and advising stakeholders on solutions to achieve the enterprise target architecture.
- Continuously maintaining and communicating EA principles and directions to ensure they are understood broadly and are used and followed.
- Maturing the architecture development process and our EA practice together with the rest of the Enterprise Architects in the team.
- Collaborating closely with Solution and Application Architects to ensure the smooth translation of Enterprise Architecture to Solution and Application architecture including driving the initial refinement of requirements of larger initiatives.
You will, together with the other Enterprise Architects, Delivery Managers, Product Owners, and Solution Architects, ensure that business capabilities are adequately supported and implemented in a timely manner. As an Enterprise Architect, you are not responsible or directly involved in the final solution design and implementation but act as a sparring partner to the Solution Architects/Engineering Teams when it comes to defining solution architecture and design.
Your Profile
You are an experienced architect with a good understanding of Enterprise Architecture methodologies and artefacts in combination with a proven track record in bridging business and IT.
You also have:
- An educational background in business and IT management, along with experience in bridging the gap between business and IT, is essential. A Master's degree will be considered an advantage.
- +5 years of relevant experience in a similar position e.g., roles within enterprise architecture or solution architecture either as an architect or in a consulting setting.
Furthermore, we hope you have most of the below:
- Capable of focusing on business value, simplifying complex concepts, and creating clear overviews for direction setting and communication.
- Techniques for facilitating Enterprise Architecture discussions and acting as the spearhead for the Global IT department.
- Experience or knowledge of AI tech stacks, implementation methodologies, strategic use cases and building governance around it will be a plus.
- You can get pen to paper and clearly articulate the result of an analysis.
- Strong understanding of IT and technology.
- Good interpersonal and relational skills, including the ability to build relationships and communicate across all levels and business areas of Milestone.
- Professional proficiency in English both in writing and verbally.
To be a success in your new position, we expect you to be able to thrive in an environment where not everything is defined or described, but where you have the potential to make a great impact on our EA practice and help mature it together with your architect colleagues. Taking theory and putting it into practice in a way that makes sense in a Milestone setting is pivotal for the position.
We also expect you to be approachable and friendly; we have a lot of interaction points with our colleagues locally and globally, therefore it's important to get energy out of collaboration both to spare with but also to share knowledge, learnings and successes.
Please note that the position is on-site at our headquarters in Brøndby, Denmark, and requires that you have a valid Danish work visa.
Welcome to Milestone Systems
At Milestone you will experience a positive and welcoming environment with a global and diverse culture. We are more than 40 different nationalities in the Danish office alone and English is the corporate language.
We have our own gym with all the equipment you need, private health insurance and additional benefits like an amazing employee association setting up fun and exciting activities for all of us.
If you want to develop your professional competencies we offer individual development plans, where you and your manager agree on the right learning path for you. We believe in investing in our employees and providing them with opportunities for growth and development.
As our office is 5 minutes cycling from the nearest train station, we have bicycles that you can use.
We also have a flexible policy in terms of working from home.
Contact and application
You will experience an inclusive and unbiased recruitment process where all employment decisions are based on qualifications rather than race, color, ethnicity, gender identity, age, sexual orientation, and religion. We advise you not to attach a cover letter to your application but instead, we encourage you to write a few lines about why you are applying for the position in your resume/CV. Additionally, we recommend you not to add a photo in your resume/CV.
If you have any questions, you are very welcome to contact Director, Business Engagement & Enterprise Architecture, Maria Baun Marcker at +45 31 54 59 75.
We will take candidates into the recruitment process continuously and the position will remain open until a suitable candidate has been found.
We are looking forward to receiving your application.
