Job Title: DCS Automation Engineer (Fixed-term contract for 1 year, with potential for extension.)

Project Overview:

Our client is looking for a new project engineer for an ambitious, greenfield API project designed to boost production capacity significantly. This opportunity is with a leading client in the pharmaceutical/manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as an integral team member, supporting both IT and system management functions.
  • Serve as the automation subject matter expert on various work packages.
  • Conduct thorough document reviews and approvals (e.g., Functional Specifications, Interface Agreements, FAT Reports).
  • Prepare essential documentation such as ITRAs and Validation Plans.
  • Execute validation and test activities (including DQ, FAT, and SAT) to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Support system installations and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in automation engineering, ideally in a regulated (pharma or similar) environment.
  • Must possess strong knowledge of S88 Batch systems.
  • Experience with DCS systems is preferred, with familiarity in 800xA seen as an advantage.
  • Background in API projects or manufacturing is preferred.
  • Proven competence in CQV processes and related documentation.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe for FATs.
