Automotive CANbus Diagnostic Technician - Connected Cars

Job ID: 3035

Sted: København SV, DK, 2450

Connected Cars is working on an ambitious project to connect millions of car owners with their vehicles by hooking into the on-board diagnostics available in every modern car, and we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated people to join us on that journey.

Our mission is to enable safer, more sustainable, and more convenient mobility to the world through responsible and transparent data collection and sharing. Our team consists of around 60 people from different backgrounds, brought together by a shared belief in team effort, fun at work, and delivering quality.

The role
At Connected Cars, we are constantly seeking ways to improve our working methods. Therefore, our development team is currently programming a smarter way to extract data from the vehicles we install our telematics units in. We are looking for an Automotive CANbus Technician who is passionate about automotive electronics, diagnostics, and identifying solutions, who wants to help us turn every car into a connected car.

Your main tasks will involve:

  • Using diagnostics software to extract data from the cars' CANbus.
  • Developing vehicle-specific software alongside your team members.
  • Collaboration with our internal cross-functional development teams to test and optimize the software that reads data from the cars.
  • Providing guidance and technical support to customer-facing teams.
  • Being an internal expert in all automotive-related topics.

You will work from our offices in Copenhagen and occasionally at customer sites in Denmark and around the world.

What we're looking for:

You have a background as an automotive technician, diagnostics technician, technical advisor, or service technician, and you're seeking a new challenge. You understand how automotive electronics work, and you enjoy staying updated with the latest technology in vehicles. You take pride in getting things done in collaboration with colleagues and external partners. You do not need to know everything but have a desire to learn new skills; we will be helping to develop and train you in these areas.

What would make you a good match:

  • Knowledge and/or interest in CANbus, Transport protocols (e.g., ISO-TP) and Communication protocols (e.g., UDS and OBD-II).
  • Good understanding of vehicle diagnostics and diagnostic software, with an ability to read CANbus data.
  • Ideally, have worked on multiple vehicle makes.
  • Take responsibility for your tasks and work independently.
  • Willingness to learn new things and not afraid to challenge yourself.
  • Ability to adapt and work well under pressure.
  • Proficiency in English both written and spoken.
  • Driver's license.

Why Connected Cars:

  • The opportunity to be part of an industry-leading company with a global reach.
  • A collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages growth and creativity.
  • Competitive salary and an attractive pension scheme.
  • Extensive employee discount schemes on cars, repairs, etc., for yourself and your family.
  • Friday bars, monthly social events, affordable lunch scheme, and unlimited snacks in the kitchen.

Connected Cars is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
