About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Onboard Engineer to join our Technical team at Northern Offshore Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of technical maintenance aboard our fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine and emergency maintenance on marine diesel engines, including troubleshooting and repairs of associated systems.
  • Implement preventive measures to uphold engine functionality and minimize downtime.
  • Execute troubleshooting, modifications, upgrades, and technical follow-ups on diesel engines in operation.
  • Utilize systematic fault diagnosis to swiftly resolve issues and prevent operational disruptions.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to develop and optimize preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to promptly respond to emergencies and ensure vessel readiness.
Requirements
  • Ability to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and adeptness in resolving technical challenges related to marine diesel engines and systems.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration capabilities, essential for effective integration within the technical team.
  • Proficiency in English for effective communication, both verbal and written, within our international team environment.
  • Solid technical background with expertise in marine diesel engines and related systems.
  • Minimum three years of experience in Marine/Offshore/Shipbuilding (preferred).
  • Valid driving license category B.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within Europe and adapt to irregular working hours.
