Aarhus University's Department of Business Development and Technology (BTECH) invites applications for associate professorship positions in industrial engineering. The successful candidates will join the EngTech research section, contributing to cutting-edge research and teaching activities.
The position involves advancing the research frontier through applied research, focusing on company collaborations and disseminating knowledge to industry. We expect applicants to have a strong background in mechanical engineering, production engineering, or similar fields, with areas of interest within disciplines such as manufacturing, product lifecycle management, complex manufacturing systems, and global supply chains.
Candidates are expected to teach and supervise students at all levels, including PhD students. Our study programmes include MSc in Engineering (Technology Based Business Development) and Bachelor of Engineering programmes in Forretningsudvikling (Business Development) and Global Management and Manufacturing (supply chain/production). Hence, candidates should be able to teach courses in operations management, supply chain management, management of technology, and technology-based business development.
Requirements:- PhD degree
- Strong academic background as assistant professor or equivalent
- A proven record of strong international research, as evidenced by publications in highly reputed international journals
- A track record of excellence in teaching on topics relevant for our study programmes
- A clear, well-developed, and viable strategy for future high-level research
Aarhus University offers a range of benefits, including competitive salary, generous vacation time, and access to excellent research facilities and resources. Non-Danish speakers are required to acquire a reasonable knowledge of the Danish language within three years. The department will grant time off from teaching to attend Danish courses during the first two years of employment.
