Transaction Monitoring Systems Analyst

SEB's Financial Crime Prevention (FCP) function aims to continuously meet regulatory expectations and lead in fighting financial crime.
The FCP Transaction Monitoring Technology and Investigation Platforms unit seeks a Business Analyst to contribute to the business-driven development process.
This role can be based in Stockholm, Riga or Copenhagen, offering international opportunities and a dynamic work environment.
About the Role
As a Business Analyst at SEB, you will be part of an inclusive team of professionals. You will have the opportunity to work closely with development teams and stakeholders to align platform solutions with strategic goals.
The key responsibilities include:
- Identifying business requirements and breaking them down into user stories.
- Refining user stories with tech teams for development.
- Liaising with stakeholders to ensure platform solutions meet business objectives.
- Conducting data analysis on large datasets, mapping data, and contributing to data quality improvements.
- Assisting the Product Owner in driving initiatives within and across teams.
- Participating in root cause analysis and business impact assessments for potential incidents.
Your knowledge and communication skills are essential in bridging the gap between business objectives and technological capabilities.
At SEB, we offer a hybrid work model, allowing employees to work remotely up to two days a week.
Requirements
To thrive in this role, you should possess:
- An academic degree in Finance, Business, Data Engineering, Mathematics, IT, or a related field.
- Good communication skills and fluency in English.
- At least two years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or equivalent working with data.
- Experience with data analysis, data mapping, and data transformation using tools like Excel and SQL.
- A detail-oriented and structured mindset.
- Experience with SQL and Python programming languages.
- Familiarity with Payment flows is considered an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically and strategically.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity while managing multiple initiatives effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong track record of collaboration and teamwork to achieve common goals.
