Senior Researcher Positions in Theoretical Chemistry

The University of Copenhagen is seeking highly motivated and talented researchers to join its faculty as PhD researchers in the field of chemistry. We are particularly interested in candidates who can contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the areas of experimental and theoretical chemistry.
As a PhD researcher in chemistry, you will work closely with experienced faculty members to conduct original research and contribute to the development of new theories and methods. You will also participate in research seminars and workshops, teaching and knowledge dissemination activities, and defend a PhD thesis based on your research project.

Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the position include:
- Conducting original research in the field of chemistry
- Completing PhD courses corresponding to approximately 30 ECTS (1/2 FTE)
- Participating in research seminars and workshops
- Teaching and knowledge dissemination activities
- Writing scientific papers aimed at peer-reviewed scientific journals
- Defending a PhD thesis based on your research project
Qualifications and Requirements
To be eligible for this position, you must hold a MSc or BSc degree related to one or more of the areas of chemistry mentioned above. You should also possess excellent English language skills and a strong interest in the thematic areas of our research groups.
We are looking for candidates who demonstrate a high level of academic excellence, creativity, and originality in their research ideas and proposals. Your qualifications should align with the three criteria for assessment of applications, which include:
- The excellence of the PhD candidate based on former performance at BSc and MSc level
- The academic originality and expected impact of the proposed project
- Implementation, including the relevance of the supervisor host environment and the feasibility of the PhD project plan
