About the Role

COWI is seeking a highly skilled GIS Specialist to join our Digitalisation team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for bringing your GIS and digital expertise to our large-scale infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute as a specialist on projects where GIS plays an integral role;
  • Develop and maintain web GIS applications using ESRI ArcGIS Server and JavaScript API;
  • Create and maintain applications on ArcGIS Experience Builder and Developer Edition;
  • Create, design and develop GIS data models, geodatabases and perform data analysis and quality control;
  • Integrate GIS with other systems and technologies, such as GPS and remote sensing;
  • Provide technical guidance and support to GIS users.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working with ArcGIS – primarily from a consulting company;
  • Experience with implementation of GIS systems in conjunction with other systems and processes such as BIM and CDE on large projects;
  • Experience in infrastructure projects such as transportation and rail is beneficial, along with expertise in civil construction, energy, or urban planning;
  • Experience with ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS Pro. Experience with FME is also a valuable skill;
  • Experience with or understanding of BIM and interfaces between GIS and BIM is beneficial;
  • Proficiency in English at a business level is needed. Fluency in one of the Scandinavian languages (Danish, Swedish or Norwegian) is desirable.
