Job Description

The Compliance and Sustainability Manager will be responsible for managing product data, certifications, and reporting while aligning internal policies with global regulations. This involves developing and implementing a robust compliance framework, managing and optimizing product data and certifications, identifying and addressing implementation gaps, and preparing sustainability compliance reports for senior management.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Implement Compliance Framework: Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance framework that covers FSC, packaging (PPWR), EUDR, CBAM, green claims, circularity, and other relevant regulations.
  2. Manage Product Data and Certifications: Manage and optimize product data, certifications, and documentation, including selecting and implementing new tools or software to enhance efficiency.
  3. Identify and Address Implementation Gaps: Identify and address implementation gaps by analyzing legislation, drafting summaries, interpreting its impact on Normann Copenhagen, and conducting risk assessments.
  4. Prepare Sustainability Reports: Prepare sustainability compliance reports for senior management, integrating key compliance updates and performance metrics.
Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as compliance, environmental science, or engineering. You will also require strong knowledge of compliance, system management, and sustainability, with the ability to handle complex processes and technical solutions.

You should have experience interpreting legislation, reviewing product documentation, and ensuring compliance with Normann Copenhagen's standards. Proficiency in conducting Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) is also essential.

A passion for sustainability and an interest in sustainable practices in the furniture industry are highly desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also required.
