Drive Scientific Innovation in Fermentation

As a key member of our Life Sciences team at Arla Foods, you will play a crucial role in advancing our microbial solutions for current and future products.

We are seeking a highly skilled Scientist with a strong background in Food Microbiology and Fermentation to join our team. Your expertise will enable us to drive science and innovation from lab scale to pilot plant trials.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain, build, and strengthen expertise/competencies on microorganisms related to dairy production.
  2. Investigate the impact of food ingredients on product composition and health profiles through collaborations with universities.
  3. Partner with various innovation projects related to dairy fermentation.
  4. Provide ad hoc support to the business in resolving fermentation-related issues.
  5. Enable knowledge transfer between the organisation and internal and external partners.

About You:

  • You hold a PhD or Master degree in Microbiology, Microbial Biotechnology, or similar relevant education.
  • You have an in-depth knowledge of microbiology and some of the following would be advantageous: experience from the food industry, knowledge on microbiological processes in dairy, hands-on experience with analytical tools, and fundamental knowledge in data handling and statistics.

Salary: Estimated €60,000 - €80,000 per annum depending on qualifications and experience.
