About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and meticulous pattern designer to join our team at SELECTED. As a key member of our design and buying department, you will be responsible for developing size charts, gradations, and basic patterns, as well as collaborating with our buyers and designers to ensure accurate fit and design.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain size charts, gradations, and basic patterns for our woven and jersey categories.
  • Collaborate with our buyers and designers to comment on fit and design, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
  • Maintain close and efficient cooperation with our international suppliers, inspiring them to follow our guidelines and requirements.
  • Ensure understanding of correct fitting and measurements, including training colleagues and suppliers.

About You

We are looking for a naturally optimistic and outgoing individual who thrives in a creative environment. You will have strong organisational and communication skills, particularly the ability to clearly and convincingly convey messages across cultures and borders. You will also have excellent collaboration skills, working closely with buyers, designers, and suppliers.

Requirements

  • Education within pattern design.
  • Experience working with both woven and jersey categories is preferred.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Experience using Gerber.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator is a benefit, but not a requirement.
