The Automation Engineer- DCS is responsible for guiding the development and implementation of process control systems in a GxP regulated industry. This involves working closely with internal and external departments to ensure comprehensive resource coverage for project tasks and to establish standardized design, implementation, and deployment procedures for highly automated solutions.
Your responsibilities will encompass guiding dedicated team members to ensure oversight and offer direction for issue resolution, in conjunction with solution architects and other automation specialists. Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in preparing all departments for operations by identifying gaps within SOPs, training, and competencies, and subsequently driving efforts to close these gaps.
This position requires strong communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders and the ability to translate strategy into ambitious goals with clear priorities. As a result, you will continue to support the facility by providing coaching and training, owning and driving changes, supporting future projects, and being on call for issues that occur in our 24x7 manufacturing facility.
