Data Analyst – Predictive Analytics Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team at the Danish Refugee Council.
The successful candidate will have strong data analysis and coding skills, with experience in predictive analytics, machine learning models, and data visualization tools such as R Shiny, PowerBI or Tableau.
This is a temporary position for 3 years, funded by a specific project, but we aim to make it permanent if the funding is secured. The salary for this role is estimated to be around **€50,000 - €60,000 per annum**, depending on qualifications and experience.

Job Description:
The Data Analyst will support the development of innovative data models, maintain the models, and extract results. They will also enhance the sharing and uptake of results through data visualizations and various types of reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and engage in all data-related work in predictive analytics projects
- Provide data extraction, processing, analysis, and visualization expertise
- Work closely with Senior Analysts and Global Data Science Leads on generating and visualizing evidence from predictive analytics models
- Provide advice and capacity building on data presentation and visualization for HQ departments and field offices
- Support other data processing and analysis for the organization as needed
About You
To be successful in this role, you should have a passion for data analysis and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
Requirements
- Experience: 1-3 years of relevant work experience
- Coding: knowledge and experience with R Program or Python
- Data Management: experience in collecting, analyzing, and reporting data
- Tools: knowledge in developing data collection tools
- Visualization: conversant with developing dashboards in R Shiny, PowerBI or Tableau
- Collaboration: ability to work effectively with teams from diverse cultures
- Travel: able and willing to travel for up to 30 days per year
- Context: past experience in working in developing/fragile countries and settings
- Subject: past experience working with displacement and/or in humanitarian organizations
- Machine Learning: experience in building predictive Machine Learning (ML) Models
