Postdoctoral Researcher in Multi-Omics Foundation Models

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR) at the University of Copenhagen. The successful candidate will work on developing patient-level multi-modal foundation models for studying cardiometabolic disease using large international biobanks.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and train state-of-the-art deep learning-based foundation models using data from UKB, All of Us, and Project 10K biobanks.
- Integrate methodologies such as neural networks, variational autoencoders, and transformers to analyze and interpret omics data.
- Collaborate with national and international partners to advance interdisciplinary research projects.
- Disseminate research findings through presentations and manuscript preparation.
- PhD in Biology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Excellent scientific track record and profound knowledge of machine learning and/or deep learning.
- Experience in programming and analysis of bulk or single-cell omics datasets.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral.
The Postdoctoral Researcher position is open to applicants with a PhD degree awarded from a university outside of Denmark or with a Danish PhD degree who can document at least 12 months of full-time research experience from outside Denmark during or after the PhD studies.
Terms of EmploymentThe employment as Postdoctoral Researcher is a full-time position for 3 years. Starting date is February 1, 2025, or after agreement.
