Our research section at the Natural History Museum Denmark is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to contribute to advancing the field of Citizen Science. This 3-year position will allow you to engage in cutting-edge research, both in theory and application, with a focus on bridging the society-science interface.
The successful candidate will work closely with our team to develop and implement innovative approaches to Citizen Science, leveraging their expertise in natural or environmental sciences, social data sciences, or social sciences. They will also collaborate with partners inside and outside the museum to ensure practical application and societal value.
We aim to foster a supportive and inclusive group culture that emphasizes teamwork and collaboration, both within the University of Copenhagen and with our global network of partners. The ideal candidate will have excellent research and academic writing skills, with a proven track record of publishing in international peer-reviewed journals.
The successful candidate will be expected to lead the development of at least five papers for publication in international peer-reviewed journals, participate in collaborative projects with other lead authors, and contribute to grant-writing activities. They will also be involved in teaching and co-supervising PhD, MSc, and BSc student thesis projects, as well as public engagement and communication.
To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to have a strong background in Citizen Science or other Participatory Sciences, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in teams. They will also need to have a good understanding of natural history and experience in statistical analysis, including Mixed-Effects models and/or time series data.
