Steel Structures Expert for Offshore Wind Farms

Reneewables Certification (RC) is the global market leader in the Renewables Certification market and is involved in 80% of Project Certification for offshore wind parks including offshore substations in the world.
The Project Certification department within RC is seeking a Steel Structures Expert for Offshore Wind Farms to join our team in Germany or Denmark. This role involves reviewing and verifying fabricator QAQC documentation, material and manufacturing specifications, corrosion protection specifications, and design documentation as part of the design evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and verify fabricator QAQC documentation, welding, coating, and NDT procedures related to fabrication of steel structures for wind turbines towers, fixed foundation structures, offshore substations, or floating wind farms.
- Perform technical audits, Shop Approvals, and regular follow-up shop inspections at welding workshops in Germany, Denmark, and other European countries.
- Occasional travel to audits globally.
- Contribute to the work of a multidisciplinary team engaged in project certification activities in different disciplines and coordinate inspection activities with local surveyors within DNV’s global network.
This role also involves technical lead/package manager duties for fabrication phase of offshore wind farm projects in relevant markets worldwide, particularly in the US, Taiwan, and European countries.
You will have the opportunity to work on offshore projects globally and perform site surveys during new builds or operations. You will also be part of a dynamic team with a varied and interesting field of duties and have great potential for knowledge transfer by experienced engineers in a wide range of fields.
