Vestas is seeking an experienced Senior Embedded Systems Technical Lead to oversee a skilled and focused IO team in an area critical to our business.
As a key member of our Software Platforms & Connectivity Module Management team, you will be responsible for coordinating the development and maintenance of generic drivers for fieldbus systems and transducers used in wind turbines. Your expertise will ensure seamless and secure communication channels, protecting against evolving cybersecurity threats and enabling efficient turbine operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the IO software development team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- People management of a multicultural team, including goal setting, designing development plans, coaching, developing, and guiding the team.
- Develop the strategic direction and roadmap for the area, ensuring organizational development and future preparedness.
- Take full end-to-end accountability of sub-module deliverables, engaging with stakeholders to improve collaboration and value realization.
- Ensure execution of project commitments and prompt handling of concerns, guiding continuous improvement of IO software processes and methodologies.
Requirements
A relevant bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with at least 5 years of professional experience and at least 2 years of team management experience. You should possess a strategic mindset, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to think critically and strategically.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in software development, experience with embedded low-level software, and a passion for renewable energy and sustainable solutions. Additionally, experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies, as well as proficiency in problem-solving and interpersonal skills, are highly desirable.
