About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Health Security Specialist to join our team at the World Health Organization. This is a unique opportunity to work on a critical aspect of global health security, supporting Member States in building their capacity to prevent and respond to health emergencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Member States in implementing the IHR Monitoring and Evaluation Framework, including the Joint External Evaluation process
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to Member States in developing and implementing National Action Plans for Health Security
  • Collaborate with international partners, including the European Commission and the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, to promote the implementation of the IHR and its Monitoring and Evaluation Framework
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, NGOs, and other international organizations
Requirements
  • Advanced degree in public health, international relations, or a related field
  • At least 7 years of experience in global health security, including experience with the IHR and its Monitoring and Evaluation Framework
  • Proven track record of providing technical assistance and support to Member States in implementing health security initiatives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
