Director of Public Policy and Governance

Roskilde Universitet (RUC) invites applications for a Director of Public Policy and Governance position. We are seeking an expert in public administration and politics to lead our research and teaching efforts.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting high-quality research, maintaining a steady rate of publications in leading international academic journals, and contributing to the department's research community.
The ideal candidate will have a PhD degree in a relevant field, a certification in higher education teaching and learning, and a proven track record of teaching at all levels within public administration and politics. They should also demonstrate expertise in project-based teaching and using advanced social science methods.
We offer a competitive salary range of DKK 624,116 - 809,408 per annum, depending on experience. The position includes opportunities for professional development, collaboration with international experts, and contributions to the development of internal and external cooperation between research environments and stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be expected to attract research grants, coordinate research projects, provide guidance and supervision of PhD students and assistant professors, participate actively in research groups, and engage in other activities for the department. They should also be able to teach in English and Danish, with the ability to acquire necessary skills in Danish within the first two years of service.
