Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled climate scientist to join our team at DMI. As a climate scientist, you will be responsible for designing and executing model experiments, developing model code, and analyzing outputs. You will also lead and contribute to scientific papers and participate in developing new grant applications with the group and external collaborators.
You will have the opportunity to work with our climate and ice sheet surface models that we employ in the Polar regions. These models are used in various research contexts, including the development of the Danish Climate Atlas.
About You
- A PhD degree in climate science, meteorology or related fields is required.
- Experience with climate modelling, preferably of the atmosphere or ice sheets, is an advantage.
- Advanced programming skills and experience with HPC systems are essential.
- Good communication skills in oral and written English are necessary.
