Biostatistics Professor

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our research team as a professor in biostatistics at the University of Southern Denmark. The successful candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of epidemiologists, geneticists, clinicians, mathematicians, biodemographers, database managers, and biostatisticians.

• Develop and apply statistical methods in health science research, with a focus on theoretical problems in observational studies and clinical trials.
• Contribute to biostatistical research in health science, engaging with international networks of expertise and integrating new developments with local fields in health science.
• Teach statistics and research methodology at all levels, supervise students and researchers from health science fields, and engage in supervision and teaching at PhD-level.

• PhD in biostatistics, statistics, mathematics, data analysis, or applied mathematics, with experience in health science research an advantage.
• Demonstrated research contributions and a research plan with potential collaborations.
• Documented record in teaching applied statistics and a reflected teaching portfolio.
• Strong interest in pursuing excellence in teaching and supervising students and researchers in health science.

• Excellent analytic abilities and fluent English language skills.
• Motivated to explore new knowledge and new skills, with a strong team player attitude.
