At DTU Chemical Engineering, we are seeking a highly competent and aspiring young scientist to excel in the field of gas fermentation. The postdoc position is available in the frame of research projects funded by the European Innovation Council and Novo Nordisk foundation.

The project will be in close collaboration with top-class scientific groups in Europe and address the development of a novel process chain targeting valorization of carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide to biofuels and chemicals. Your primary tasks will be:

  • Performing kinetic characterisation of different microbial groups involved in CO2 and CO fermentation to acetic acid.
  • Modeling CO2 and CO biological conversion to different products and reactor types including bioelectrochemical systems.
  • Performing Technoeconomic Assessment of conversion processes including separation of liquid products.
  • Communicating results of the project to both academic and industrial partners.
