About the Role:

Our Quantitative Energy Trader will be responsible for developing, deploying, and refining advanced trading strategies based on sophisticated predictive models.

You will work closely with discretionary traders, other algo traders, and quants to create a synergetic environment that drives exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain domain expertise within relevant markets and products
  • Analyze market- and fundamental data to identify potential trading opportunities using quantitative techniques
  • Conduct rigorous backtesting of trading strategies to assess performance and refine models
  • Contribute to existing- and developing new algorithmic trading and asset optimization strategies
  • Monitor the performance of trading algorithms, identify any issues or anomalies, and deploy necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure consistent and efficient implementation of trading strategies

Requirements:

  • Mastery of quantitative modeling skills (statistics, econometrics, applied mathematics, engineering, physics)
  • Strong coding skills in Python, with experience in working with large datasets
  • Excellent understanding of energy markets, particularly European power and gas markets
  • Fluent English language skills, both written and verbal
