Job Description:

The successful candidate will be part of a research project focusing on developing statistical and artificial intelligence methods to analyze data from new technologies used for monitoring the marine environment. The goal is to improve our understanding of plankton community structures and their drivers by combining data from these technologies with ancillary meteorological and water quality observations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop statistical and artificial intelligence methods to analyze data from new technologies
  • Analyze and compare data from traditional plankton monitoring techniques
  • Demonstrate how this information improves our understanding of the factors regulating plankton communities

Required Qualifications:

  • Relevant Master's degree (120 ECTS) or at least one year of a Master's degree in statistics, environmental science, mathematics, or related discipline
  • Programming experience with data analysis tools such as R, MatLab, Python, etc.
