Gameplay Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Gameplay Architect to join our team at Serbian Games Association. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, architecting, and implementing key gameplay systems and functionality for our upcoming MMORPG game, Ember Sword.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Game Design team to identify key systems and mechanics that will drive the player experience.
• Design and implement robust and maintainable gameplay systems, ensuring a high level of code quality and adherence to best coding practices.
• Work closely with the Engineering team to ensure seamless integration of gameplay systems with the game's technical infrastructure.
• Contribute to the game's overall design and vision, providing input on gameplay mechanics and systems.
• Support the team in finding solutions through brainstorming and discussions.

Requirements:

• Several years of experience as a Game Programmer with a focus on larger gameplay systems, ideally with a focus on combat.
• Experience with structuring large code projects from the ground up.
• Excellent C++ skills, including a strong grasp of Standard Template Library (STL) and underlying data types.
• Experience with ECS/ENTT, including ECS design principles, data locality, and system design.
• Ability to communicate effectively with designers and artists, understanding their needs and sharing their excitement and joy.
