The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Vaccines and Immunity (NIVI Research) is a cutting-edge research institution dedicated to harnessing airway immunity through innovative vaccine research and development. As a unique opportunity to join the newly established initiative, we are actively seeking an Assistant Professor of Structural Biology and Protein Biochemistry (tenure track).
Salary
Employment will be as assistant professor, tenure track and the position is permanent. The average weekly working hours are 37 hours per week.
Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled researcher with expertise in structural biology, protein biochemistry, and bioinformatics to lead our team's research efforts. As a Co-PI, you will support and assist the Group Leader in managing scientific/research leadership and management responsibilities. You will also design, implement, and maintain state-of-the-art facilities for discovery, research, and early development activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Ph.D. and/or M.D. in a relevant field of biology.
- Research experience within the field of structural biology and protein biochemistry.
- Interest in contributing to a leadership that champions NIVI and NIVI-R's values and motivates diverse teams.
- Agile ways of working, with an appetite for change and challenging dogma.

The tenure track assistant professor's performance will be evaluated through annual evaluations. Furthermore, the tenure track assistant professor will be evaluated in a mid-track appraisal. After no more than six years of employment and on condition of a positive final appraisal, the tenure track assistant professor will be employed as associate professor.
