Job Description
We are seeking a highly competent and aspiring postdoctoral researcher to contribute to strengthening our department's competences within gas fermentation technology. The successful candidate will work on developing a novel process chain targeting valorization of carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide to biofuels and chemicals.
- Responsibilities:
- Perform kinetic characterisation of different microbial groups involved in CO2 and CO fermentation to acetic acid.
- Model CO2 and CO biological conversion to different products and reactor types including bioelectrochemical systems.
- Perform techno-economic assessment of conversion processes including separation of liquid products.
- Communicate results of the project to both academic and industrial partners.
- Collaborate across disciplines with internal and external project colleagues.
- Be involved in co-supervision of BEng, BSc, MSc, and PhD students.
