Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark Sybo Games ApS Full time
Leading the Future of Subway Surfers

Sybo Games ApS is part of the Miniclip family and renowned for the massively popular game, Subway Surfers - the most downloaded mobile game in the world, with over four billion downloads. Located in Copenhagen, we aim to create engaging experiences that inspire our fans to care.

For over ten years, Subway Surfers has maintained its prominence in its genre, sustaining widespread popularity with its solid foundational gameplay coupled with ongoing updates and new content - now you have the opportunity to contribute and make an impact for the future.

You will be joining a wider product team on Subway Surfers, reporting into our Director of Product, where you'll take ownership of your own pod depending on skills and interests. You will have the opportunity to hone your leadership skills; or embark on your leadership journey if this is your first role as a lead. All in all, this is a great opportunity to get hands-on work with a game that enjoys a global reach of over 150 million monthly users - and to leave your mark on the game's future.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take on operational responsibilities for the full product/game lifecycle, crafting specs as needed, and collaborating with our design, art, and engineering teams to launch key features in Subway Surfers.
  • Keep leadership in the loop with regular updates, insights, and strategic recommendations.
  • Nurture and develop our Product Management talent, promoting a positive culture that supports individual growth.
  • Provide user and competitive research to harness innovative game technology, ensuring our product decisions are backed by thorough data analysis and market insights.
  • Enhance the team's understanding of data-driven insights through consistent communication and by creating impactful dashboards and reports.

In your first month - You'll gain a clear understanding of the game vision and learn how the team works together to realize it. You will get to know and start building close relationships with the people in your pod, and the wider product team. If you are not already an avid Subway Surfers player, this is also where you'll build up your product knowledge.

In your first 3 months - You'll be fully operational and have taken responsibility for your pod's work and are actively working on projects alongside the team. You have most likely pitched your first idea based on insights you've gained the first few months, and are elbow deep into new features or changes to the product.

In your first 12 months - You've finalized your first features or changes, which is either currently live with the game or in process to get released. You've set us on a path for increased revenue through optimization or innovation, and have built solid relationships with both your pod, product team and key stakeholders across the company.

Requirements:
  • Experience working on live games - you can point directly to changes you've made to a game that has had a positive impact on its revenue.
  • Product ownership mentality and an eager mentality to deep-dive into improving, and making an impact on, the world's most downloaded game.
  • Great presentation skills - you know how to pitch an idea and gain buy-in quickly and effectively.
  • Previous experience - or an interest - in people leadership.
  • Passion for games - You are motivated by understanding player motivations and continuously building a world-class game that fits in current market dynamics.
