Marine Bacterioplankton Interaction Expert
3 weeks ago
The Department of Biology at the University of Copenhagen is seeking a highly skilled postdoctoral researcher to join our research group at the Center for Volatile Interactions. As a postdoc, you will play a key role in investigating the complex interactions between marine microorganisms and their volatile organic compounds.
Your main tasks will include designing and conducting experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and collaborating with colleagues to advance our understanding of these complex systems. You will also be responsible for lead-writing and co-authoring scientific publications and supervising MSc students.
We are looking for an ambitious and highly motivated candidate with a PhD in marine microbial ecology or a related field. Fluency in English is required, as well as excellent writing skills demonstrated by a strong publication record. Experience with molecular community analyses, aquatic microbial ecology, and cultivation of bacteria and phytoplankton is highly desirable.
The position offers a stimulating working environment, access to state-of-the-art instrumentation, and opportunities for professional development. If you are passionate about advancing our understanding of marine ecosystems and are eager to contribute to a dynamic research team, we encourage you to apply.
