About the Job
">DTU is a leading technical university in Denmark, recognized globally for its research excellence. We are seeking an experienced researcher in microbiology, biotechnology, or genetic engineering to join our Integrative Microbial Ecology Research Group.
The successful candidate will have a solid track record of research outputs and excellent communication skills in English. The main criteria for selection will be the adequation between your research experience and the expected tasks, as well as your ability to prepare research plans and report scientific results.
About the Position
">This two-year position involves planning, conducting, reporting, interpreting, and disseminating research in bacterial bioengineering within the European project SYNFEED. You will work closely with academic colleagues at DTU and abroad, contributing to common activities such as co-supervision of student projects.
Responsibilities

- Explore the diversity of environmental hydrogenotrophic bacteria and link their growth performance to their genomic content">
- Develop hydrogenotrophic bacteria as chassis for heterologous protein expression">
- Contribute to common activities of the Research Group and the Department, for example via co-supervision of BSc and MSc student projects">
Required Skills and Qualifications
">You must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent) and have experience in prokaryotic molecular microbiology, including cloning, recombineering, or other genetic/genomic engineering techniques. Bioinformatics skills for sequencing data analysis and cultivation and growth analysis of microbial cultures are also advantageous.
We are looking for a candidate with ambition and curiosity, who is well-organized, structured, and enjoys working collaboratively.
