Scientific Expert in Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics

We are seeking a highly skilled Scientific Expert in Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics to join our Development PKPD department at Novo Nordisk A/S. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in driving innovation and making a meaningful impact in the field of PKPD.

As a PKPD Specialist, you will be involved in a wide range of tasks related to PK and PK/PD assessment, modeling, and animal-to-human translation. Your responsibilities will include setting the direction and executing the translational PK and PK/PD strategy across different molecular formats, designing preclinical PK and PK/PD studies, interpreting and reporting data, building mathematical models, and performing simulations of human PK and PD.

• Develop and implement the translational PK and PK/PD strategy across various projects and stakeholders.
• Design and execute preclinical PK and PK/PD studies, including study planning, execution, and data analysis.
• Build and apply mathematical models to simulate human PK and PD, inform project decisions, and support regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary project teams, including scientists, clinicians, and regulatory affairs specialists, to drive research initiatives and achieve project goals.
• Provide input to regulatory documents, such as IND, IMPD, and NDA, and interact with regulatory authorities.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in PK/PD theory, modeling methodology, and translational science methodologies.

To succeed in this role, we require:

• A Ph.D. within Pharmaceuticals, Medical, Physics, Math, or Engineering sciences, or equivalent pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Strong understanding of PK/PD theory, modeling methodology, data interpretation, and translational science methodologies.
• Outstanding ability to identify challenges, develop strategies, and translate them into actionable work packages.
• Solid experience with pharmacokinetics and modeling software, such as Phoenix WinNonlin/NLME, NONMEM, and R, Python, or Matlab.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively interact with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
