The Role
We seek an experienced Downstream Process Engineer to lead the development and implementation of new and existing downstream processes for our acetic acid production at pilot and commercial scales. You'll work closely with our team to design and optimize processes for efficient separation and purification of acetic acid from fermentation broth.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Design and Optimization: Develop and optimize processes for efficient separation and purification of acetic acid from fermentation broth, implementing innovative techniques to enhance yield and purity.
- Scale-Up and Technology Transfer: Lead the scale-up of downstream processes from pilot to full-scale production, collaborating closely with process teams and external partners to ensure seamless technology transfer.
- Quality Control and Assurance: Ensure that the downstream process meets industry standards, developing and implementing quality control protocols to monitor process efficiency and product quality.
Requirements
- Practical experience in downstream process engineering, especially in drafting ideas, formalizing design, and commissioning of biotechnological equipment.
- Collaborative, communicative, and able to work closely with suppliers, scientific teams, and management.
- Creative and open-minded, with a focus on delivering exceptional results.
- Project management experience to oversee implementation of upscaling processes.
