Job Description

  • As a Senior Power BI Architect, you will lead the implementation and development of Power BI within our Data and Analytics department in Global IT.
  • You will be responsible for establishing governance frameworks, implementing best practices, and overseeing automated monitoring of daily production, resource consumption, and platform usage.
  • You will contribute to an integrated data architecture within the Data & Analytics department, leveraging platforms such as Snowflake and OneLake.
  • You will coordinate between the BI platform, business units, and IT infrastructure for production and development.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience overseeing Microsoft Power BI environments and delivering effective implementations.
  • Strong understanding of governance frameworks and the ability to establish Microsoft and industry best practices.
  • Expertise in documentation standards, monitoring system performance, scaling resources appropriately, managing licenses efficiently, and overseeing the entire life-cycle of data analytics solutions.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI and Qlik Sense Cloud.
  • Proficiency in data modeling within Power BI and SQL.
  • Hands-on experience with Python, R, and SQL and theoretical knowledge of Kimball dimensional modeling or other data modeling techniques in the context of BI.
  • Understanding principles for designing and implementing cloud applications, specifically within Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with DevOps Pipeline.
