Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled leader to join our team as a Business Support Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a department consisting of approximately 65 employees, divided into 4 teams.

The department is part of a new production area PPV, which is transitioning from the project stage to the operational phase. Our team is dedicated to delivering strong results that add to the success of Novo Nordisk in crucial ways by ensuring high-quality API at a competitive cost for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Building a Highly Effective Business Support Function: The ideal candidate will have experience in building and leading a business support function, ensuring it operates efficiently and effectively.
  2. Leading Leaders and Developing the Organization: As a leader, you will be responsible for developing and leading a team of leaders, driving day-to-day activities, and representing the Business Support area across the organization.
  3. Driving Continuous Improvement: You will develop, outline, and monitor operational excellence and continuous improvement objectives through close collaboration with leaders and experts.
  4. Establishing Relationships Across the Organization: Establishing relationships across the API organization for effective stakeholder management and management support.
Requirements:
  • Academic Degree: An academic degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Experience with partnering, financial planning, reporting, and performance management processes, and knowledge of business processes, systems, and pharmaceutical industry requirements.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a leadership role (including people management), providing executive business support to senior leaders.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Fluency in English, as well as excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across the organization.
