About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automation Engineer Lead to join our team in Europe. As a key member of our Power-to-X division, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems, PLCs, and SCADA systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of PLC programming, SCADA systems, and HMI design. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and objectives related to control and automation.

You will be part of our PtX-department consisting of 75 committed colleagues, working on several utility-scale projects in Denmark, North and South America, and Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and objectives related to control and automation.
  • Design, develop, and implement control systems, PLCs, and SCADA systems.
  • Ownership of control descriptions for the PtX projects coordinating between Process, Engineering, O&M, and PLC programming suppliers.
  • Optimize existing processes for efficiency and reliability in our control and automation systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Marine Engineer or similar.
  • Proven experience (min. 5 to 7 years) in automation and control engineering.
  • Strong understanding of PLC programming.
  • Strong knowledge of SCADA systems and HMI design.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, etc.).
  • Experienced in writing Control Concepts and Control Description.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication and project management skills.
