About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Footprint Development team at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing major new plant projects and plant extensions in our global footprint.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute selected new plant projects with key interfaces to internal program managers, real estate, and local plant management.
  • Establish and secure approval of project teams and project contracts, including financial approvals and project steering committee meetings.
  • Secure that new plant projects are tailored to specific project needs and that project teams take ownership.
  • Align project organization and RACI with operations management, real estate, and plant management.
  • Secure project timelines, including milestones and frequent follow-up.
  • Act as a role model for incorporating Siemens Gamesa values and safety culture in respect for local culture.
  • Act as a trustworthy counterpart to relevant stakeholders, including project teams, plant management, strategy managers, real estate PMs, and external partners.
  • Establish risk management systems and reporting structures.
  • Align project budgets and reporting with finance and relevant stakeholders.
  • Capture cost-out initiatives and lessons learned and ensure they are considered in upcoming projects.
Requirements
  • Passion for renewable energy and a sense of the importance of leading the change.
  • Motivated team player with excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, effectively set clear direction, and be flexible and adaptable.
  • Willingness to travel to new plant destinations worldwide.
  • On-site presence required during project execution.
  • Relevant degree in engineering, business administration, or similar.
  • Exceptional computer skills, including PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project, and SharePoint.
  • IPMA B certification level or similar.
  • Excellent English skills, both oral and written.
  • At least 7 years of senior project management experience in the wind business or similar industries.
