The Department of Sports Science and Clinical Biomechanics at Syddansk Universitet invites applications for a professor position in Movement Practices. We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team and contribute to the development of our research unit, Movement, Culture and Society (MoCS).
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage large-scale research projects, applying for and securing external funding to support innovative research initiatives.
- Strengthen the department's profile in the humanities and social sciences, focusing on embodied experiences and movement practices in sports, health, and performing arts.
- Support the faculty's strategies and contribute to the development of research strategies within the department and MoCS.
- Engage in knowledge transfer to society, mentor PhD students and junior faculty members, and contribute to curriculum development.
- PhD degree in movement practices or a related field.
- International leading research profile in embodied experiences and movement practices, demonstrated through a sustained and sizable research output in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and books.
- Experience in securing external funding and a strong potential for successful fundraising of major projects.
- Successful management of research projects or groups, completion of PhD studies, and externally funded projects.
- Documented teaching and supervision experience at all levels, with a strong track record of student evaluations and pedagogical leadership.
- Formalized pedagogical and didactic qualifications, skills, and experience in study program management and development.
- Competencies in engaging innovatively and across disciplines in knowledge exchange and collaborations with and for society.
