About the Role:

The purpose of this position is to ensure high-quality financial data and provide guidance to develop capacities within the Finance team. You will work closely with country operations, HQ Finance, and other stakeholders to deliver results-oriented solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform month-end closure controlling tasks to ensure compliance and accuracy of trial balances.
  • Escalate issues to management as needed and assist countries with accounting-related tasks.
  • Support country operations in providing HQ Finance supporting documentation related to transactional finance.
  • Contribute to the Year-End Closure and statutory audit processes.

Country Expert Advice & Capacity Building:

  • Provide MEC capacity building to Finance colleagues in Country Operations.
  • Offer on-demand expert advice regarding accounting modalities and Microsoft Dynamics 365 functionalities.
  • Be the focal point for Country Finance Manager, handling country accounting and financial matters.

Requirements:

  • A university degree in finance, accounting, or business administration.
  • Accredited Chartered Accountant (CA) certification or equivalent.
  • Controller and accounting experience, preferably from an international organization.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel 1-2 weeks per year.

Working Environment:
