We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Biological Research Scientist to join our team at KU - SCIENCE - BIO. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and conducting mitochondrial function measurements on human adipose tissue and skeletal muscle samples.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize and conduct experiments on human adipose tissue and skeletal muscle samples.
  • Develop and implement new laboratory techniques.
  • Analyze data and contribute to manuscript writing.
  • Supervise students in the laboratory.
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., biology, biochemistry, human physiology).
  • Strong record in laboratory methodology.
  • Experience with high resolution respirometry is expected.
  • Strong publication record within metabolic research.
  • Experience in performing human experiments is preferred.
