Vestas, a global leader in sustainable energy solutions, is seeking an experienced Lead PE Specialist to join its team. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to work on innovative projects and make a significant impact on the future of wind energy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for initiating and driving process changes when needed, ensuring production readiness, and delivering targeted training to equip teams with the skills required for execution.

This role is part of the Concept and Launch department within Production Engineering Nacelles in Nacelles Manufacturing. The department focuses on development activities in Denmark but interfaces in a global environment, requiring strong collaboration and communication skills.

About the Role

  • Evaluate and refine new product, process concepts, and layout ensuring alignment with business objectives and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Conduct in-depth feasibility studies, assessing technical, economic, and operational factors for new concepts.
  • Define robust manufacturing strategies for new product introductions.
  • Work closely with design, engineering, and production teams to integrate manufacturing considerations into early-stage product development.

Requirements

  • A degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Extensive working experience in manufacturing, design, and product development, layout development, concept selection, feasibility study, or similar roles.
  • Good broad technical foundation and the ability to pick up new knowledge fast.
  • Strong ability to conduct feasibility studies, risk assessment, and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Good problem-solving skills and an innovative approach to overcoming obstacles.
  • A team-oriented mindset with good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Fluent in English both in writing and verbally. Danish language skill is welcomed and would be beneficial in daily communication work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Be disciplined with respect to structures and agreements.
  • Keeping deadlines and having quality in focus and not giving in when things can be tough.
  • Being able to speak up if something is not right.
  • Act responsibly and promote changes if necessary.
  • Question the way we work and initiate change if needed.
  • Have a good understanding of matrix organizational setups, in order to efficiently communicate with your colleagues and relevant stakeholders.
  • Have the patience to listen to, understand, and respect your colleagues.

What We Offer

Location

The location for this position is Aarhus, Denmark. Expected travel approximately 30 days annually.

Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this position is €85,000 - €110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
