At the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI), we strive to advance the understanding and prediction of weather and climate phenomena through innovative research and development. Our Weather Research Department is dedicated to delivering cutting-edge solutions that support improved decision-making and policy development in the fields of weather and climate. As a member of our team, you will contribute to the development of next-generation weather forecasting and climate modeling capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participating in multidisciplinary research projects focusing on radar applications and geophysics
- Collaborating with researchers and developers to design and implement new radar-based research initiatives
- Developing and maintaining advanced software tools for radar data analysis and visualization
- Contributing to the creation of training materials and workshops for users
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should possess a strong background in geophysics, remote sensing, computer science, or a related field, combined with excellent programming skills in UNIX environments, experience with machine learning, high-performance computing, and data integration. Strong communication and teamwork skills are also essential.
