Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark Københavns Universitet (KU) Full time
Research Focus

Our research group is interested in understanding the mechanism of neurotransmitter release in chemical synapses and its implications for neurodevelopmental diseases and epilepsy. We use an interdisciplinary approach, including human induced pluripotent stem cell (hIPSC)-derived neurons, mouse neurons, microscopy, electrophysiology, and omics methods.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct live cell microscopy experiments to study neuronal activity and synaptic function
  • Develop and analyze imaging parameters to identify aberrant circuit activity underlying epilepsy and neurodevelopmental delays
  • Collaborate with our research group to integrate our findings into clinical applications
Requirements
  • PhD degree in natural or medical science
  • Experience with cell culture methods and fluorescence microscopy
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
